The Nun 2 reveals that Demián Bichir's Father Burke, who helped Irene defeat Valak in The Nun, is absent in The Nun 2 because he died of cholera before the events of the sequel. The Nun 2 trailer is taking audiences back to the Conjuring Universe. Interestingly though, the selection of Romania for The Nun may not be an accident, either.
